Attempt at realistic portrait! ;; Kinda sorta. After getting started on this, I realized the elves of Dragon Age 2 are very semi-realistic, with the big, sparkly eyes and all. I really like their anatomy however, especially the noses, so I certainly enjoyed drawing this, even if it’s not completely as realistic as a real person would be. It’s a good start, maybe I’ll try drawing a human next.
So yes, I’m going to make this clear for anyone providing me with critique. I was going for the elven anatomy of Dragon Age 2, which consists of very big eyes, noses shaped a bit differently and a very thin, elegant physique.
It’s not like you have to be familiar with the elves in Dragon Age 2 in order to critique, I’m just giving you a heads up. This drawing is still in no way perfect anyway.
SO, anyway, this is Orsino from Drrrrrrragon Age 2. This guy, he’s… I mean, seriously. He’s epically fucking badass.
Especially in the scene where they storm the Viscount’s place and the qunari and kjghlghjlkfjfghkdf. Me and my brother were both like “OOOOOHHH”, “AAAHHHHH”. ORSINO TURN OFF YOUR SWAG, DAMMIT. Compared to Irving from the first game, this guy is God. And Irving is a crackhead in a corner somewhere. But I still like Irving because he’s so… cozy, somehow.
The whole relationship between the Knight-Captain and the First Enchanter was in my head like the one with Irving and… Gregoir, was it? They were my first impression, so to speak. So I thought it would be the same with Meredith and Orsino, because that’s what was in my head. So it really surprised and worried me after things had escalated so much. ;;;
Before I knew his name, he was old man bishie mage. God I love DA2 elves, their anatomy is so fucking interesting.
